Reviews
If you are a fan of Italian drawings dating from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, this is the book for you. Nicholas Turner, the author who had the task of cataloging the Prado's holdings of these works, is refreshingly honest in his appraisal of the drawings. Apart from a minority of the works by major figures in the drawing world, most of the other practitioners are not renowned or familiar names. The good news is that these more minor drawings are very attractive and well worth investigating. I have not counted them, but there are heaps of images to be enjoyed. The printing and reproduction quality is very good though not exceptional. Definitely worth considering.
